Welcome back ladies and gents! Now that we have talked about saving before spending, this week we are going to focus on tips and tools to help you smart shop and get more for your buck!
One tool that helped me shop all throughout college was the app UNiDAYS. UNiDAYS is a app for college students where you get discounts to a number of retailers and have coupons for everything from clothing to education, health and beauty, technology and food. These coupons actually work and help you save more money to get more for your buck or put more money away! I use this app during the holidays especially when I do my Christmas shopping and it’s been a lifesaver! All you have to do is enter your university and put your school email, create a password and you have access to endless coupons!
Now we all graduate university, and the UNiDAYS does monitor when you graduate college and you can’t use this app and all of its perks forever. However, there is another tool that I also use when I am shopping, and that is Afterpay. Afterpay is another application that allows you to make purchases with a variety of retailers. You pay your purchases off in 4 installments over the course of 2 months. These are interest free installments and this is also a great tool for budgeting and learning how to make payments at a young age.
I know I can’t speak for everyone but I love to shop! And it always feels like an internal battle of deciding if you should treat yourself or feel guilty for spending any money instead of saving more than you already did. It is OKAY to treat yourself every now and then! As long as you’re being responsible treating yourself every now and then without feeling guilty is absolutely fine!

Hey Arianna,
Love the blog content! This is perfect and certainly timely given the fact that so many people are struggling financially right now! As a broke college student, I can certainly relate. I have never heard of unidays and I am now excited to go and check it out! Keep up the great content!
Chris-
Interesting read. I have not heard of Afterpay before. Will definitely need to check it out for Yuletide shopping this year. With 4 nephews and a niece, I could use all the help I can get saving lol. Great work.
Hi Arianna,
Wow! I have never heard of Unidays, like at all. This seems like a great app to help budget and prioritize my money. I tend to shop a little more than usual but since Covid, I have not really treated myself because I have no where to go! Haha. I am totally going to look into this app.
Hi Arianna, as I do love shopping myself this blog post really intrigues me! Fortunately, I do know these companies and services but if I didn’t I would be able to clearly understand after reading this post. I think you do a great job of explaining how these systems work and even supplying us with another resource at the end.
